JP, PPM fined

Elections Commission has fined Jumhooree Party (JP) and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

The commission said in a statement that JP was fined MVR 8,000 while PPM was fined MVR 7,000.

JP was fined for submitting several membership forms with the same fingerprint, and PPM was fined for violating the regulation on submitting membership forms, said Elections Commission.
