Police have concluded investigations and forwarded to the Prosecutor General (PG) the case of two young men for the stabbing of Feydhoo MP Alhan Fahmy.
An official from the PG Office told Sun today that the office has received a case naming Mohamed Sameeh from Fuvahmulah and Mohamed Naseem from Seenu Hithadhoo as suspects for the stabbing of MP Alhan Fahmy. The case is being evaluated, the official said.
MP Alhan was seated in a local restaurant, Break Water in Artificial Beach, Male’, when he was stabbed in the back with a knife around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1 February.
The Feydhoo MP was promptly transported to a hospital in Sri Lanka over fears of being paralyzed from the waist down. The MP has since returned to Male’, but has not fully recovered from his injuries.
