Today’s sitting of the parliament has been cancelled for lack of quorum.
Speaker of the Parliament rang the parliament bell at 9:00 a.m. and stayed for 5 minutes, and a further 15 minutes for members to congregate before declaring the meeting cancelled.
A total of 11 members were present in parliament today. Parliament regulation requires at least 19 MPs to be in attendance for parliament to have quorum.
Next sitting of the parliament will be held on Monday, 31 March.
