Ballots printed for parliamentary election

A total of 244,050 ballot papers have been printed for the Saturday parliamentary election, revealed the Elections Commission (EC) today.

The ballots were printed by a local company, Novelty Printers and Publishers Pvt Ltd.

A total of 240,652 people are eligible to vote in the 18 parliamentary election scheduled for Saturday 22 March. The election will see 302 candidates compete for 85 seats.
