EC decides to place ballot box in Malaysia

Elections Commission (EC) has decided to place a ballot box in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Parliamentary Election schedule for 22 March.

In an announcement, Elections Commission said that the number of Maldivians who registered to vote from Malaysia is less than estimated, and for this reason, only one ballot box will be placed in Malaysia.

The commission said that ballot box W02.1.1 will be placed at the High Commission of Maldives located at Menara See Hoy Chan building.

A total of 302 candidates will contest in the Parliamentary Election, for which the number of eligible voters is 240,000.
