Two individuals in serious condition following accident in Hulhumale

Two young people have sustained serious injuries in an accident in Hulhumale’.

The accident took place at around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday night when a van collided with a motorcycle.

The two people who were injured were those on the motorcycle; Mohamed Farish, 22, who was driving, and Ahmed Shah, 21, who was on the backseat.

Police said that the accident took place on Nirolhu Magu, when the motorcycle hit the front of the van while trying to turn into a narrow lane.

An eyewitness told Sun Online that the driver had serious injuries on this left eye and right thigh.

The passenger, the eyewitness said, was bleeding from the nose and was lying about eight feet away.

He said that the driver was unconscious when they were taken to the hospital on a van that passed by the scene of the accident.

Efforts are ongoing to arrange transport to Male’ for the driver.
