President, Vice President to visit Laamu Fonadhoo

President’s Office has announced that President Yameen Abdul Gayoom and Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed will depart to Laamu Fonadhoo this afternoon.

The President and Vice President will also be joined by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

Spokesperson at President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz said that the president will return to Male’ tomorrow.

“The purpose of this visit is to understand the concerns of the people of Fonadhoo. He will return to Male’ tomorrow,” said Muaz.

A special rally of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has been scheduled for tonight in Fonadhoo.
