LGA vice president resigns

Ahmed Faisal, Vice President of the local council oversight body, Local Government Authority (LGA), has resigned.

An official from LGA confirmed Faisal’s resignation, but said he is currently in the United States. Faisal told the media that he resigned to allow the newly elected councils to better work with the LGA board.

Faisal sits in the Local Government Board as the member representing civil society.
