Motorcycle parked on Chaandhanee Magu set alight

A motorcycle parked near National Museum on Chaandhanee Magu has been set on fire.

A police media official told Sun Online that the incident took place at 4:14 a.m. on Friday morning, and that the fire was extinguished by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

The motorcycle was completely damaged in the fire.

A similar incident took place also on Lonuziyaaraiy Magu last night.

The police media official said that a motorcycle parked near Imperial Clinic on Lonuziyaaraiy Magu was set alight at 2:56 a.m., but the fire was put out by a bystander before it destroyed the vehicle.

The two incidents are under investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Department of the Maldives Police Service.
