Speeding car loses control, crashes into Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi

A speeding car has lost control on Boduthakurufaanu Magu and crashed into Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi, causing serious damage to the car and major injuries to the driver.

There were two people in the private car when the accident took place at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The police said that the driver suffered serious head injuries and is undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), while the passenger only suffered minor injuries.

Police have not revealed any details of the two people.

Eyewitnesses told Sun Online that the car ran into Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi when the driver abruptly hit the brakes while speeding. The driver lost consciousness following the accident, and is still unable to speak.

The accident caused serious damage to the car as well as Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi. The car’s bonnet and has been crushed, and part of its left side as well as rear wheel have been damaged.
