Former Vice President of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) Mohamed Rasheed (Hiyalee) has been appointed chairman of the state insurance company, Allied Insurance.
Mohamed Rasheed confirmed his appointment to Sun today and said he has been attending office for the past few days.
Mohamed Rasheed also held a seat in parliament as member representing Addu constituency, and has a 34-year stint managing the famous local football club, Club Valencia.
Allied Insurance is a subsidiary of State Trading Organization (STO).
