People hold protest against MDP protests

People have gathered at ‘Adi Park’ today against MDP protests, claiming that the series of MDP protests at Lonuziyaaraiy kolhu are causing those living in this area trouble.

About 100 people gathered at around 4:00 today, saying that the loud noise created by MDP is disturbing, and that their children are finding it hard to sleep at night. They called for a stop to this series of protests.

Most of the protesters were women.

They called to close down Male’ City Council, alleging the Council of trying to act like a separate government.

They accused MDP of involving children in political activities, and protested against that. They also called them to not interfere with children’s school activities.

The peaceful protest came to an end at 6:00. MDP did not confront these protesters.
