MP Riyaz Rasheed joins PPM

Vilufushi MP Riyaz Rasheed has joined Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Riyaz , who is also Interim President of Gaumee Party.

Speaking to Sun Online about joining PPM, he said, “I was one of those who led the efforts to create PPM. I was included in the 10-member team formed by former President Maumoon to create PPM."

He stressed the importance of supporting President Yameen’s government, and said joining PPM was necessary in order to work with the government to work for the benefit of the people.

Riyaz announced that he will contest for Vilufushi seat at the parliament on PPM ticket at the Parliamentary Election 2014.
