Police suspends upper-south division commander

Maldives Police Service has suspended its upper-south division commander Ahmed Shiyam.

Police Media Official said Shiyam was suspended starting yesterday “regarding an ongoing police investigation”. He did not provide details.

Shiyam has previously served as the Police Media Official and also as commander of the capital Male’ area.
