Criminal records cleared for several youths

The police have deleted criminal records of several youths, as part of their efforts to empower and provide employment to youth.

Police said that criminal records have been cleared for 1,023 youths involved in 564 cases filed up to 6 January 2014.

Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed has urged the 1,023 individuals to make the best of this golden opportunity to leave behind their criminal pasts, find employment, and act responsibly.

The police said that efforts are ongoing to achieve their 100-day action plan, which includes concluding 80 percent of pending investigations, empowering youth, and increasing employment opportunities for youth.
