Individual dies from stabbing in Male

An individual has died tonight while being treated following a stabbing in Male'.

The victim, who died in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) while being treated to wounds sustained to the chest, has been identified as 21-year-old Hussain Waheed, Ma. Aisha.

The other stab victim, a 18-year-old boy, is being treated in IGMH, but is not reported to be serious. He was stabbed on the left side of his torso.

The two young men were stabbed during a fight that took place near Coffee Corner in Buruzu Magu around 10:30 p.m. Police have not announced any arrests in relation to the incident.

The 21-year-old Hussain Waheed is known to have a record of drugs and possession of weapons.
