President appoints three deputy ministers

President Abdulla Yameen has appointed deputy ministers to three different ministries today.

According to the President's Office, Dr Aishath Muneeza was appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Fathimath Inaya was appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mohamed Mahir was appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Health and Gender.

Former has Chairman of Alia’s Sharia Committee, Dr Aishath Muneeza holds a PhD in Islamic Economics form the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Fathimath Inaya was promoted to Deputy Minister from the post of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
