Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer has announced the ministry’s decision to establish police stations in all inhabited islands across the country.
Umar Naseer said this while speaking at a function at Iskandar Koshi tonight, to inaugurate Home Ministry’s road map for the first 100 days of the new government.
He said that the establishment of police stations in all inhabited islands, despite the increase in expenditure, would contribute greatly to the efforts to reduce crime.
Umar Naseer said that more police officers will be hired to achieve this, which would also increase job opportunities for the youth.
Presently, police stations exist in 65 islands.
