Alcohol tubs discovered in Male

Police have discovered seven large tubs filled with a substance thought to be alcohol from a house in Male’.

Drug enforcement and intelligence departments discovered the materials around 23:45 on Thursday night during an inspection of G. Beruge, first floor, following a tip-off.

Police said the inspection was carried out under a court warrant and that they also discovered equipment used for brewing alcohol.

Police did not reveal whether an arrest was made from the scene, but said that they are looking for suspects.
