President Dr Mohamed Waheed has appointed fifteen new Deputy Ministers today.
The new Deputy Ministers are Mohamed Iaad Hameed of M. Muddhoo and Mohamed Ibrahim Maniku of Medhuge, Th. Guraidhoo as the Deputy Ministers of Finance and Treasury; Ismail Shafeeu of Ulaajehige, Ga. Gaddhoo and Azleen Ahmed of Hilihilaage, Gdh. Rathafandhoo and Mohamed Asif of H. Kan’doomaage as the Deputy Ministers of Education; Farhath Ali of Ma. Naseemee Han’dhuvaru as the Deputy Minister of Health and Family; Ali Hameed of Hameedhee Manzil, R. Alifushi as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Is’haq Ahmed of Koelu, R. Meedhoo as the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication; Shiham Mohamed Waheed of H. Aazaadhevaadhee as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development; Abdulla Majeed of G. Kan’duroalhi and Abdulla Muthalib of Gulbakaage, Gdh. Fiyoari as the Deputy Ministers of Housing and Environment; Ahmed Rasheed of Cosy corner, L. Gan and Abdulla Rifau of M. Waving light as the Deputy Ministers of Human Resources, Youth and Sports; Mohamed Qubad Aboobakr of H. Nadhuwaa and Asadulla Shafi’ee Ahmed of Hulhumale’ as the Deputy Ministers of Islamic Affairs.
In addition, three new Deputy Ministers were appointed yesterday as well. They are Naaif Shawkath of H. Augusta as the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Youth and Sports; Mohamed Saleem of H. Raiy kunnaaruge as the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; and Ali Solih of Aazaadheege, S. Hithadhoo as the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture.
Also, Ali Waheed Hassan Manik of Ma. Silver scene was appointed as CEO of National Centre for the Arts (NCA). Ali Waheed is the brother of President Waheed.
