Individual to be prosecuted for killing man while sleeping

A case has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office against an Ahmed Niyaz, 28, on suspicion of killing Mohamed Hassan while he was sleeping.

The police said that Mohamed Hassan was attacked in the head at 11.40 p.m. on 12 March 2013, while he was sleeping.

Mohamed Hassan died on 13 March 2013 at 11.25 p.m., while being treated for his head injuries at the hospital.

The police said that Ahmed Niyaz, who has criminal record of assault and theft, is still under arrest.
