Thieves break two safes in Dhidhdhoo council office

Two safes have been destroyed by thieves who broke into the council office in Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo.

An inhabitant of Dhidhdhoo told Sun Online that the thieves entered the council office through the fanlight in the bathroom.

He said that the council has not been able to employ a security guard due to financial difficulties.

The police said that they were alerted on this crime this morning, and that they were informed by the council that the safes did not contain any money.

This crime is under police investigation.
