LONDON (AP) — Goals from Vlad Chiriches and Lewis Holtby ended Tottenham's four match winless run in the Premier League and eased the pressure on under-fire manager Andre Villas-Boas as Spurs won 2-1 at Fulham on Wednesday.
The result left Fulham in 18th place, three points from safety from relegation.
Holtby scored the winner in the 82nd minute with a curled shot from 20 meters after Chiriches equalized with a long-range volley. Ashkan Dejagah had put the hosts in front from Dimitar Berbatov's astute through-ball.
Fulham slipped to its sixth consecutive league defeat as new manager Rene Meulensteen failed to start his reign on a positive note.
