Bayern gives 3-year extension to defender Alaba

MUNICH (AP) — Bayern Munich has given Austria defender David Alaba a three-year contract extension.

The Bundesliga and Champions League title holders say the extension will keep the 21-year-old Alaba with the club until June 2018.

Alaba joined Bayern's youth team from Austria Vienna in 2008.
