MTCC Express price increased to MVR 35

The price of the Express ferry service between Male’-Hulhule’ and Male’-Hulhumale’ provided by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been increased to MVR 35.

MTCC started this service at MVR 20 and later changed it to MVR 25, and yesterday, to MVR 35.

An official of MTCC told Sun Online that the price had to be increased due to increase in oil prices and other reasons.

The prices of tickets on the normal ferries between Male’-Hulhumale’ and Male’-Villingili are still MVR 5.50 and MVR 3.25 respectively.

MTCC also recently introduced electronic ticket for its ferry services.
