President makes four senior appointments

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed four Senior Officials of the Government.

In a statement issued tonight, the President’s Office said that the appointed officials are Dr Mohamed Ali, who previously served as the Controller of Immigration and Emigration, as the Minister of State for Islamic Affairs; Hassan Ali as the Controller of Immigration and Emigration; Abdulla Majeed, who previously served as the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy as the Minister of State for Environment and Energy; and Aishath Bisam as the Legal Affairs Secretary at the President’s Office.

The appointments as Controller of Immigration and Legal Affairs Secretary at the President’s Office were made at the level of State Minister.
