Police officer attacked, his brother stabbed in Gemanafushi

A Police officer has been attacked, and his brother stepped in the abdomen, in the island of Gemanafushi, G.A. Atoll.

According to reports from Gemanafushi, the Police constable was attacked after he stopped a speeding motorbike. Moments after that, some thugs went to the private residence of the constable and attacked him. When his family tried to defend him, they were attacked too.

A police media official said that two brothers of the constable were attacked. “After the constable was attacked, his two brothers were attacked. One of them was stabbed in the abdomen, while the other sustained a broken skull”, said the media official.
