President meets new Commissioner of Police

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with the new Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed.

In a meeting held this morning at the President’s Office, President Yameen congratulated Commission Hussain Waheed on his appointment and discussed plans for further advancements for the Maldives Police Service.

President's Office revealed that prior to the meeting, the President presented the letter of appointment to the Police Commissioner.

Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed and Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer also attended the meeting.
