Police ask public to be cautious of national ID cards in lead up to presidential poll

Police have warned the public to be cautious of their national Identification Cards as they are receiving reports of ID’s being hidden from owners, ahead of tomorrow's presidential election.

Police said hiding a national ID card is crime punishable under the Elections Act (General) and such reports will be prioritized and investigated as serious cases.

Sun is aware that some political parties are attempt to purchase ID cards for the presidential election.
