Brigadier General Ahmed Nilam has been summoned by the police for a second time.
The police confirmed that Nilam was summoned last night in relation to a case that is under investigation, but did not provide details.
Nilam told Sun Online today that he was summoned for 8:00 p.m. last night, and that he answered the questions asked by the police.
He also did not disclose which case he was summoned in relation to.
The former MNDF intelligence chief was suspended in January 2013, after he shared information with the parliament regarding the change of government on 7 February 2012.
MNDF said that despite the suspension, Nilam was allowed to attend his regular military duties.
Nilam told the Parliament Committee on Oversight of the Government that he received intelligence reports that an assassination attempt was planned against former president Mohamed Nasheed, which was to take place during a military function.
