Man carrying bullets caught at Male airport

Police have arrested a man carrying bullets at Male Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.

MNDF Spokesperson Colonel Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef said tonight that a foreigner about to board an Etihad Airways flight has been caught with bullets, and that the matter is under investigation.

“We cannot give more information as the matter is currently under investigation,” Abdul Raheem said.

Police said that the person is now being questioned for carrying bullets.

Sun has received information that the person is of Polish nationality. Airport officials said that the bullets are for AK47 rifles, and that the person came to Maldives on a yacht.
