Azima Shakoor appointed as Advisor to the President

Former Attorney General Aishath Azima Shakoor has been appointed as Advisor to the President.

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Media Secretary at the President’s Office, Masood Imad.

Masood did not mention when Azima Shakoor was appointed to this post.

This appointment follows the passing of a no-confidence motion against Azima Shakoor by the parliament. The no-confidence motion was submitted to the parliament by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
