Yameen and Nasheed to discuss election

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has revealed that a meeting will soon take place between party presidential candidates Abdulla Yameen and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate Mohamed Nasheed to discuss areas of support for the presidential election.

PPM candidate’s spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali said Yameen has invited Nasheed for a discussion. Muaz did not mention a date for the meeting.

“Presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and MDP presidential candidate Mohamed Nasheed will also meet, to give each other support for the presidential election,” Muaz said.

He said senior members of both parties are also scheduled to meet soon.
