Elections Commission’s toll free service, 1414, dedicated to clarify the voters’ list registration details has resumed after being out of service this morning.

Secretary General of Elections Commission Asim Abdul Sattar told Sun Online that the problems have now been solved.

“It should be possible now to get voting location details via SMS,” he said.

The official of Elections Commission who answered the phone on 1414 said that it was not possible to get information via SMS earlier, because the ‘system was down’.

He said that it was also not possible to call 1414 due to internet problems, and that efforts are ongoing to solve these problems.

The commission called for the public to file complaints regarding the voters’ list between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today, allowing a 9-hour window, but following these problems, said that complaints can also be filed between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.
