Maldives Post Limited chairman resigns

Chairman of the Maldives Post Limited Ahmed Nizam has resigned from his post today.

A member of Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), Ahmed Nizam’s resignation follows DRP's announcement last night that they are no longer part of the government coalition.

Nizam told Sun today that he resigned “to prioritize national interests over personal interests,” as DRP had left the government coalition. He did not provide details.

Nizam sits in the DRP council and is the brother of Kelaa MP and DRP deputy leader Dr Abdulla Mausoom.
