EC to stay closed on Sunday

Elections Commission has declared that the commission will take a recess and stay closed on Sunday.

The commission’s Secretary General Asim Abdul Sattar told Sun that the commission has declared tomorrow a holiday. He did not provide details.

Elections Commission takes a break after three attempts to hold elections, the last of which failed today amidst accusations that the commission was violating a 16-point guideline levied by the Supreme Court, and the police consequently obstructing elections efforts.
