The police have appealed to the public to provide information on the suspects who set Raajje TV building on fire, and posted a video showing them covering their faces.
The 1:10 minute video posted by the police shows three people covering their faces in front of the main entrance of Islamic Bank.
The video shows two people arrive on a motorcycle in front of the bank, and while it is possible to get a glimpse of the face of the man in the front seat of the motorcycle, the man in the back was not caught on the camera. His shadow can, however, be seen through a glass door in the bank.
This is followed by five motorcycles carrying two people each speeding past the bank entrance. A person on the backseat of one of these motorcycles is seen walking to the two men on the stationary motorcycle, and helping them cover their faces with cloth.
The police have marked by circling, the faces that can be clearly seen on the video.
The police have urged the public to contact Police Hotline at 3322111 or Police Serious and Organised Crime Department at 9911099 if they have any information on these suspects.
For people in islands with police stations, the police have advised to provide information via the police station, and for islands lacking a police station, via the island council.
The police have assured to provide protection to anyone who provides information on the suspects.
Meanwhile, Kaamil Ibrahim, Beach House, Alifu Alifu Ukulhas, sought by the police for damaging police CCTV camera at the intersection of Chaandhanee Magu and Orchid Magu, also still remains at large. The police have appealed to the public to share any information they might have on Kaamil’s whereabouts.
