Sunday, 13th October declared a public holiday

President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has declared Sunday the 13th of October 2013, as a public holiday.

Announcing the decision today, President’s Office also stated that the 23rd of November 2013 will be a replacement working day for Government offices.

The President's Office stated that the 13th of October was confirmed as a public holiday to extend the weekend to link-up with the Eid al-Adha holidays, which is to begin on Monday, 14th October 2013.

Government offices will resume after Eid al-Adha holidays on 20th October, Sunday.
