Education Minister stresses need for training of teachers to improve quality of education

Minister of Education Dr Asim Ahmed has stressed the importance of better training of teachers to improve the country’s quality of education, in his statement on the occasion of Teachers' Day today.

In his statement, Minister Asim said that a system that provides training and refresher facilities for active teachers is vital for the development of the country's education sector.

He said that the contribution of teachers in fostering a generation is invaluable and that their efforts must be duly recognized and appreciated. He added that teachers’ salaries must match their work and that efforts must be made to retain professionals in the field of teaching.
