Galolhu-North MP Eva Abdulla has been arrested during a protest by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Sun Online journalist reporting from near FDI Station on Fareedhee Magu said that Eva was participating in the protest, when she was arrested by the police.
Along with Eva, the police have also arrested Shifa Mohamed, who held the post of Minister of Education in former president Mohamed Nasheed’s government, and five others.
A police media official said moments ago that Eva and Shifa were arrested for disobeying police orders and obstructing police duties.
MDP supporters are protesting near FDI Station and Supreme Court against the postponement of the second round of the presidential election.
