MP Hamid Abdul Gafoor arrested for failure to attend court

Henveyru-south MP Hamid Abdul Gafoor has been arrested for failure to attend the hearing for his indictment of refusing to provide urine samples to the authorities.

MP Hamid was charged following his arrest from Haa Dhaalu Hondaidhoo in November last year.

An official from the Criminal Court told Sun that the court had made several failed attempts to deliver the summons.

MP Hamid Abdul Gafoor was arrested from his home around 1:15 p.m. today.
