Former president Nasheed meets with Indian High Commissioner

Presidential candidate for the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), former president Mohamed Nasheed has today met with the Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, Rajeev Shahare.

The former president was accompanied by MDP parliamentary group member Mariya Ahmed Didi and Nasheed’s former Special Envoy of the President Ibrahim Hussain Zaki. The meeting took place inside the Indian High Commission in the Male’, around noon today.

Attempts to find details of the meeting were unsuccessful at the time of press.

Jumhoory Party leader Gasim Ibrahim, who won third place in the presidential election and is contesting the results in court and asking for the annulment of the election results, also met with High Commissioner Rajeev Shahare last Saturday.
