MDP to ask for no confidence motions against five senior officials of the State

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to present motions of no confidence to the parliament against five senior officials of the State.

MDP MP Alhan Fahmy told Sun that the party’s parliamentary group has decided on Tuesday night, to present to parliament, no confidence motions against Prosecutor General Ahmed Muizzu, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament MP Ahmed Nazim, Attorney General Aishath Azima Shakoor, Minister of Defence and National Security Colonel (Rtd) Mohamed Nazim and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ahmed Adheeb.

MP Alhan Fahmy said that details of the motion will be duly shared with the media after they present it to the parliament.

MDP previously asked for a no confidence motion against Defence Minister Nazim, which was later recalled.
