Elections Commission has invited all voters to check information regarding the ballot boxes and polling stations to which every individual voter is registered, and to file issues regarding their registration.
An official from the Commission told Sun today that voters can clarify details about their designated voting stations and submit grievances regarding their registration until end of office hours on Sunday.
The official said that the Commission’s invitation follows complaints from voters during the first round of the polls, that their registrations had been changed to different ballot boxes without their knowledge.
The official stressed all voters should check their registration and promptly inform the Commission, if the individual is registered to a ballot box other than the one requested.
The official said that information can be obtained, and grievances heard, from the Elections Commission’s main office and the office’s re-registration section in the capital Male’, and from the island council offices in the atolls.
