EC to allow JP to view voters

Elections Commission has stated that they will allow Jumhoory Party (JP) to view the list of people who voted in the September 7th presidential elections, as ordered by the High Court.

Answering claims that the Commission today refused to allow the party officials to view the list as ordered by the court yesterday, the Commission said in a statement published today that they have now completed arrangements for the officials to view the list.

The Commission said that the party of officials will be able to view the list between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon tomorrow, and that this arrangement has been duly communicated with JP.

Following a case filed by JP, High Court ordered the Elections Commission to allow the Jumhoory Party presidential candidate and his representatives to view the list of people who voted in the September 7th presidential elections, albeit having the list restricted to the authority and compound of the Elections Commission.
