If elected, MDP will construct flats for MNDF personnel in Bandeyri Koshi: Nasheed

Presidential candidate of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed has said that if elected in the presidential election, MDP will construct flats for Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) personnel and their families at Bandeyri Koshi.

Speaking at a rally organised by MDP last night, Nasheed said that housing has still not been assured to police and MNDF personnel, and promised that if elected, MDP will construct flats at Bandeyri Koshi under the party’s housing policy.

He said that the current residents of Bandeyri Koshi have been living there now for a long time, and that once the new flats are constructed, priority will be given to the families presently residing in Bandeyri Koshi.

Nasheed said that changes were made to the management structure of the police and MNDF during the MDP government, and that those changes have been accepted by personnel of different ranks of MNDF.
