President Waheed will attend the PPM rally tonight: PPM

The Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has said that the party will hold a campaign event with President Dr Mohamed Waheed tonight.

Speaking at a press conference held at PPM Office today, Galolhu-South MP, PPM Spokesperson Ahmed Mahloof said that President Waheed as well as several ministers will attend this rally organised by PPM.

“President Waheed as well as several ministers will attend the PPM rally at Alimas Carnival area tonight,” he said.

In response to a question posed by Sun Online, Vice President of PPM Abdul Raheem Abdullah said that discussions are ongoing regarding forming a coalition with several parties, but it was not possible at the stage to officially disclose any information related to these discussions.

He said that a campaign will be initiated tonight against former president Mohamed Nasheed’s illegal activities.
