MP Hamid fails to attend court

Today's Criminal Court hearing for charges against Henveyru-South MP Hamnid Abdul Gafoor, for refusing to provide a urine sample to the authorities, was cancelled after the MP failed to attend court.

Criminal Court’s Media Official Ahmed Mohamed Manik said that the court summoned MP Hamid to attend the hearing at 10:00 a.m. this morning.

MP Hamid was indicted after he refused to provide a urine sample to the authorities following his arrest from Haa Dhaalu Hondaidhoo last November.

MP Hamid Abdul Gafoor has also been charged with possession of alcohol and using cannabis, also in relation to the Hondaidhoo case.
