MVR 50,000, electronic items stolen from JP Office in Kunahandhoo

The office of Jumhooree Party (JP) in the island of Laamu Kunahandhoo has been broken into, and MVR 50,000 and several electronic items have been stolen from the office.

President of JP Office in Kunahandhoo, Lirgham Saeed said that the office, located inside the party’s campaign hall in the island, was closed at around 2:15 a.m. last night.

He said that the burglars had broken the two locks on the aluminium door to enter the office.

He said that MVR 50,000, a CD player, a loudspeaker, and a projector were stolen.

Lirgham said that suspects have been identified in relation to this crime, and that the case was reported to the police at 10:30 a.m. this morning.

The police said that a case had been reported from Kunahandhoo, and that it is under investigation.
