Former President Nasheed starts a tour to two northernmost atolls

The newly designated Chief Leader of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and former President of the Maldives Mohamed Nasheed has today commenced a tour to the two northernmost atolls of the country.

Nasheed is visiting H.A. Atoll and H.Dh. Atoll, reportedly to meet party activists and supporters in these two atolls. Nasheed arrived at Hanimaadhoo Airport in the morning, and went to Ihavandhoo by boat, around 12:30.

MDP Head Office reported that Nasheed would go to H.A. Dhidhoo after meeting with party members in Ihavandhoo. Nasheed would also visit H.A. Hoarafurhi.

MDP officials also stated that a special meeting of MDP activists and members in H.A. Atoll would be held at Dhidhdhoo tonight. A similar meeting for H.Dh. Atoll would be held tomorrow night at Kulhuduffushi.
